About Us

Founded by Eva Mack, former Mayor of West Palm Beach, the Sickle Cell Foundation began as a mission to support those living with Sickle cell disease.

Over time, our work expanded to address critical needs in our community, always driven by Compassion, advocacy, and a commitment to change.

Today, we Serve vulnerable individuals through three key programs:

  • Fatherhood Program – Equipping fathers with the skills and support to build strong, engaged families.

  • Infant Mortality Program – Providing education, resources, and Self-care support to ensure healthy pregnancies and newborns.

  • Sickle Cell Support – Championing those affected by Sickle cell through awareness, treatment access, and community support.

By planting the Seed of opportunity and Securing access to education and care, we help families move Forward with hope. Together, we are building a stronger Foundation for our community’s future.

Our mission is to empower families and communities to thrive through education, advocacy, and comprehensive support.

SCF envisions a future where every family thrives - empowered with knowledge, supported by the community, and equipped with resources to overcome health and social challenges. Through education, advocacy, and equitable access to care, we are transforming lives and strengthening communities for generations to come.
